If you attend the AM session as well as this session then you will also receive a one hour Zoom or in person (at our Studio in Hamden CT) image review, camera setup or image editing session.
This workshop will teach you the many important aspects of bird photography:
bird behavior
exposure (changes dramatically when the bird is against the sky versus the ground)
which autofocus mode to choose
which drive to use
light angle
shutter speed to stopping action or intentionally blur action
composition
head angle
predicting behavior
exposure, etc.
*This workshop will be limited to a small number of participants

Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker
*responsible birding (and responsible photography for all subjects) is important for this, and all photography events. We do not wait, call, harass, endanger birds for a photograph. The bird’s welfare is paramount while photographing. Any harassment or endangerment of the animals will result in the termination of your workshop without refund. Some locations also permanently barr offenders from coming back to their sites.
Location is ~66 miles from the Tappan Zee Bridge
Transportation, Lodging, and meals are not included. Email us for a hotel recommendation if you are traveling from far.
