One-on-One (Individual) Workshops and Classes

Tom and I offer one-on-one instruction here in our Studio in Hamden CT or on location. The focus of your private lesson is to quickly advance your in-camera or post-processing skills. Why wait, let’s get started - set up a private workshop now!

Your Session could be centered around camera or post-processing: Field Techniques, Digital Workflow, Capture (how to use your camera), Composition, Post-processing (Photoshop or Lightroom, Plugins, HDR), Digital Competition, Portfolio Review/Image Critique, Studio Lighting, Working with Models, etc. These sessions are customized according to your needs.

Payment in full must be received in order to hold your date. We accept payment via Paypal, secure credit card via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or cash.

Portfolio Reviews and Image Critiques allow us to assess your work and make suggestions for improvement in a nice but constructive manner. We provide positive feedback so that you may work on improving your photographs. A basic portfolio review is $200. An image review with live post-processing suggestions is $400 (you bring 5-20 RAW digital files and we demonstrate live how we would tweak them through post-processing). This can be live or recorded. You provide 10 RAW files and we will critique them and send you back a customized video to watch. Contact us via email LisaTom.Photos@comcast.net or via phone (203) 288-8151.

We also offer individual mentoring workshops on location. We will help you get the images that you desire a the location that you desire. Instructional fee as above, plus travel expenses. We offer half-day sessions $450 (~4 hours) and full-day sessions (includes a meal break, food not included, a full day (~8 hours) private session is $800). You can add a second person with a similar camera or at a similar level to yours for $200 more. Contact us via email LisaTom.Photos@comcast.net or via phone (203) 288-8151.

We accept payment via Paypal, secure credit card via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Payment in full must be received in order to hold your date.

Travel Insurance. We understand that life happens and that sometimes unfrozen circumstances may necessitate the need to cancel or reschedule. Unfortunately, we can not offer refunds unless we are able to fill your spot with someone on the waiting list. We can however recommend travel insurance to cover your costs if you have to cancel. There are many travel insurance companies available, but one we have had experience with and can recommend is Travel Guard. Their website is https://www.travelguard.com. Travel Guard offers many different options for insurance and we recommend looking into the various choices.
