Hundreds of Bald Eagles gather at Conowingo Dam, along the lower Susquehanna River in northern Maryland, for the fish, which are sucked through the giant turbines as this dam which generates electricity for the Baltimore area. In addition to the eagles over 100 species of birds are frequent visitors to the dam.

We will have fun. Drress in layers. You have access to your car. There are restroom facilities on site.
This workshop will teach you the many important aspects of bird photography, including but not limited to exposure (changes dramatically when the eagle is against the sky or the water), which autofocus mode to choose, which drive to use, light angle, stopping action, blurring action, composition, head angle, predicting behavior, exposure, etc.
Bring a 300mm lens or longer (there are many people there with 600 and 800mm lenses), but bring a 70-200 type lens too as the birds come quite close too. Either a Tripod or a Monopod or a Black Rapid type strap https://amzn.to/3gSVKDA is useful during slow times.
